Dr. Jennifer Sanftner McGraw is a clinical psychologist, professor, and department chair who has dedicated 25 years to Slippery Rock University. But statistics don’t capture who she really is. Her students describe her as “probably the best psychology professor in the department” and highlight her passion, knowledge, and genuine care for their growth.
In 2001, Jennifer founded the Reflections Body Image Program (Founder & Director), a sanctuary where young adults struggling with anorexia nervosa and body image issues find hope and healing. She serves on the President's Commission on Mental Health, shaping mental health support for the entire campus community. She also directs the Psychology Department’s Internship Program and is involved with Women’s and Gender Studies at SRU.
Her expertise has been featured on the Eating Disorders Catalogue podcast, where she shares guidance with thousands seeking understanding about eating disorder recovery.
